Vail Soul Music Fest Youth Day – Saturday, August 18th, 2012

The Vail Soul Music Fest (VSMF) 2012 is proud to offer the Vail Soul Youth Day Music and Mentoring Program on August 18, 2012. Celebrating its third year, Vail Soul Music Fest’s Youth Day Music and Mentoring Program creates the space for younger souls to have an enriching soul music experience through interactive, hand-on opportunities. The theme for this year’s Youth Day is “The Rebirth of Genius.”

Youth Day intends to serve 100 multi-cultural and under-served young music enthusiasts who are currently entering the 7th – 10th grades.

Artists and Mentors

Past artists and clinicians from Youth Day include hip hop violinist Lee England Jr. and neo soul artist Liv Warfield with her band members. Youth Day is also pleased to host adult mentors from various organizations who will serve as facilitators and student chaperones to provide students with an opportunity for peer/adult interaction throughout the day. What Do Students Receive?

Clinicians
VSMF’s Youth Day will unite some of the most talented clinicians, artists and educators from across the state. We select clinicians based specifically on their depth and breadth in the area of soul music and ability to share their passion and knowledge with our younger souls.
